KASK continue their support for the Strade Bianche men’s and women’s races and the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche as official partner.
Strade Bianche pro race first ran in 2007 based on the popular Eroica sportive and quickly gained its place as one of the most popular races among cycling fans and pro riders, thanks to the gravel roads and unique Tuscan landscape. Fabian Cancellara won the race three times while Team Sky’s Michał Kwiatkowski won it twice, last time in 2017 in a KASK Protone.
Both the men’s and women’s UCI WorldTour Strade Bianche and the Gran Fondo to be supported by Italian brand, 100% made in Italy. The full range of KASK helmets, including the Utopia and the Valegro will be on display in expo area close to the start area on 9th-10th March 2019.
The Strade Bianche is the first WorldTour race in Italy this year where fans will see the pros battle it out in the Italian countryside, on the famous ‘white roads’ course. Amateur riders will be given the opportunity to ride the same route as the pros, along the ‘Long course’ and ‘Medium course’ of the Gran Fondo Strade Bianche.
Diego Zambon, KASK’s General Manager, said: “The Strade Bianche route is simply stunning and a real test for all riders taking part. The history and prestige that surround both the pro races and the Gran Fondo have ensured they remain an integral part of Italian – and world – cycling, as the reputation of the Strade Bianche continues to grow. The decision to work with Strade Bianche is part of KASK’s ‘100% Made in Italy’ shared initiative, which seeks to promote both the Italian quality of craftsmanship and passion for cycling”.
